Re-usable Shopping Bags

Polythene has become a environmental issue, as it not only pollutes the soil but also block the city's drain, causing havoc during the rain seasons. The polythene bags mostly used by shops, including the supermarkets has become a necessary evil, which is a very convenient way for packing goods.

But the environmental concerns regarding the use of polythene has given reason for not using using then and instead used re-usable shopping bags.

The reusable shopping bags, even though all super markets have introduced them (you have to pay for the bags initially ) seems to be not that popular among the supermarkets' customers. They (the customers) will have to bring those bags to the supermarkets, which is inconvenient specially when you are coming from your office.

Even though its inconvenient, the price we may have to pay my damaging the environment by the use of polythene, makes the use of re-usable shopping bags justified.
